| A Choctaw Indian from Mississippi, and a Second Lieutenant in the Thunderbirds. Bear receive the Medal of Honor for His heroic actions during the breakout from Anzio to Rome on 5/27/44. Bear knocked out two machine gun nests and captured 11 German soldiers. Later that same day, He repelled a German tank assault, destroyed a Nazzi field piece, and while returning to camp carried a wounded commander to safety. |
